Middle School

Middle school is a transitional age.  At Grove, we recognize this and our desire is to give our students the tools to succeed. Students grow in their understanding of the Bible and Christian principles through their Bible classes, chapels, outreach projects, and in the biblical worldview immersion that is included in every subject. Students can add electives to their course load based on personal interests. They are encouraged to explore new opportunities by participating in fine arts, sports, and other extracurricular activities.

At Grove, teachers work as a team to support student learning and to build meaningful middle school experiences. The Grove faculty partners with parents so that students can achieve God’s purpose for their lives and establish a firm foundation academically and spiritually to prepare for upper school and beyond.

Beta Club

National Beta is a national organization dedicated to recognizing students for their academic achievement and leadership qualities. The organization places an emphasis on service.  At Grove, Beta Club acceptance is based on qualifications including GPA, demonstrated student leadership, and Christian character. Students can be offered membership into Junior Beta in grades 7 and 8 or Senior Beta in grades 9 – 12.

Technology

Technology is a great learning tool. It provides students with easy access to information and offers creative ways to analyze data. It enables students to explore new subjects and deepen their understanding of difficult concepts. At Grove, we maintain a biblical ethic for all online communication, research and technology usage across all grades. Student devices have website filtering in place in every classroom. Proper use of technology is taught at all grade levels.

Team Sports

Team sports are an important part of school life. Participating on a team can help students make friends and discover new strengths. School sports are a great way for middle schoolers to get involved and develop healthy habits, build confidence, and have a sense of belonging in the school community.  Persistence, hard, work and discipline which are required in sports translate into success in the classroom.

Grove 24/25

“Teaching at a Christian school is an absolute blessing! I absolutely love being able to openly share my faith and religious beliefs with my students. It’s amazing to see how my relationship with God overflows into my teaching, allowing my students to witness firsthand the joy and fulfillment that comes from knowing and walking with Jesus. It’s an incredible opportunity to inspire and guide them on their own spiritual journey.”

– Aysha Johnson, History and Choir Teacher
