Preschool

Three’s Class:

God’s world is amazing and there is so much to explore! Preschool at Grove is fun and provides adventure for all students. We explore God’s world through numbers, phonics, language development, and the bible. Our program is designed to include every child in the classroom. Students memorize bible verses, participate in Show and Tell, explore through science, move with music, and create with art. Other fun learning activities include play stations, sensory boxes, dramatic play, and story time. Don’t forget recess! Physical activity is an important part of every day. Grove has both an outdoor playground and an indoor play space. Weekly newsletters are sent through ParentSquare keeping parents informed of classroom activities and special events.

Junior Kindergarten:

This program is designed for active, curious learners to have fun while acquiring skills for kindergarten. Our curriculum includes developmentally appropriate activities to help students grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, and socially. Students will experience engaging lessons in bible, phonics, language, social studies, science, music, and art. Each subject includes biblical integration that creates the foundation of a Christian school education that will be built upon in future years. Theme based classroom centers support student learning through both critical and creative thinking. Classroom activities are designed to build communication skills and foster collaboration amongst students. Class news and updates are communicated to families through ParentSquare.

“Every August I have the privilege of welcoming some of our school’s youngest learners to my classroom. For many, this is their first experience away from home. Attending a Christian school means that I can share that God has created them for a purpose and that even at their age, God is preparing them for that purpose. Preschoolers are creative, curious learners and I am challenged daily to use my creativity to create an environment that excites them, meets their different learning styles, and points them to Christ. My mission each year is to help my students grow in their love for God, love for others, and love for learning.”

– Janet Hobbs, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
