Enrichment

Fine Arts are an important part of Christian education; they are a way for students to deepen their understanding of God by participating in His creative work.

At Grove, students have the ability to participate in programs and activities designed to encourage creativity and expression. These experiences promote intellectual growth and spiritual understanding.

Every Grove student has opportunities to nurture his/her imagination, creativity and God-given talent through our Fine Arts program. All students participate in music and art classes starting in PreK through 7th grade. Worship Arts, Media Arts, Visual Arts, and Theater Arts are elective class options in middle and upper school. All programs in our Fine Arts department incorporate Biblical values into the curriculum and encourage creative expression through a spiritual lens.

“Music education in a Christian school setting integrates Biblical truths into the curriculum. Our students at Grove are taught the fundamentals of music, the history of music, and the history of music in worship.  They are exposed to hymns, gospels, classical, modern and contemporary christian music. They are given the opportunity to try various instruments, develop their vocal skills, develop their performance skills and worship on a weekly basis.

As a teacher with faith in Christ, this atmosphere allows me to teach what I love while also impacting children by nurturing their musical talents and deepening their faith in God. There is nothing more rewarding than watching our younger children raise their hands in worship while singing their hearts out to God or having our upper school students lead worship in chapel  as students and teachers together glorify God.”

– Amanda Atkinson

Art

Grove students learn to create and appreciate art in it’s many forms. Biblical integration helps students understand that art is a way of glorifying God and honoring His world.

Music

At Grove, music is worship. Giving children the opportunity to discover, develop, and demonstrate their God-given talents can instill in them a lifelong appreciation for music.

Theater Arts

Theater arts is a collaborative art form that allows students to explore God’s world through drama. Theatrical training builds confidence in students to share with others about God and His word.

Media Arts

Media Arts at Grove gives students the ability to master the art of storytelling using technology as a medium. Through these skills, students can convey the gospel to their community and the world.
