Theater Arts

The Theater Arts program gives students the opportunity to use their talents to glorify God. By integrating the arts with a Biblical worldview, the program helps students discover their identity, understand God’s nature, and find their purpose.

Students learn the basics of theatrical performance, such as monologues, dialogues, small scenes, and stage performance, as well as theatrical history. Through these skills, students develop and refine empathy, leadership skills, perseverance, and creative thinking. Character development, stage direction, and movement are developed through individual and group performances.

Once the basic skills are mastered and students gain confidence, they can begin to expand their imagination through improvisation and collaborative playwriting. Students will have the opportunity to participate in  presentations for chapel and other school-wide events. The full-length spring production showcases the creativity and artistry of the Theater Arts students with an ensemble of characters in all grades.
