College Readiness

At Grove Christian School, we invest in preparing students to be effective in the workforce of the 21st century so that they may be effective for the sake of His Kingdom.  For the vast majority of our students, effective workforce preparation means effective preparation for college.   Starting in the 9th grade year, students take the ACT Aspire test on site in the spring of the 9th grade year.  The ACT Aspire assesses student readiness in English, math, reading, science, and writing. Following that, students take the PSAT test in both the 10th and 11th grade year onsite to measure readiness for college, access scholarships, and practice for the SAT.

In addition to support for the student stakeholder, GCS supports the parents as well.  The student and parent are provided access to an internal site with free readiness assessments and checklists/timelines for every aspect of post-high school planning, including resources to understand the financial aid process for college.
