The Elementary Experience

At Grove, we meet and exceed state standards for each subject area and a Biblical worldview is integrated into each course. Communication is a key element to the elementary experience. We communicate about the development of your child through regular updates and in parent-teacher conferences.

Each student engages weekly in a variety of specialty classes including art, music, world language study, and media arts.  Additionally, the students engage in physical activity through P.E. and/or recess each day.  The elementary students engage in service learning through updating the school sign, raising and lowering the school flag, and leading the whole school in pledges at the beginning of every chapel.

Each student will have the opportunity to participate in field trips that are extensions of our classroom experience and are included in tuition.  Technology is integrated meaningfully into the instruction of the classroom as well as the communication with parents.

In grades K-5, we use the Terra Nova 3 assessments each spring to give us a measure of what students know and are able to do at their grade level in their subject areas.  In addition to the classroom assessments about the learning experiences, this assessment gives us feedback on how our student learning at Grove compares to other students at other schools.
